Network services
Telnet sessions and native TCP functions are goals for applications and BBS use.
HARDWARE / IN DEVELOPMENT
A network cartridge project for CoCo 1, 2 and 3. We're working toward a practical bridge between classic Color Computers and modern network services.
Development status: Cartridge hardware and firmware are under development. Compatibility and production availability have not been established.
PROJECT GOALS
Telnet sessions and native TCP functions are goals for applications and BBS use.
Networking is built around an ESP32-S3 with a carefully verified bus-facing register and buffering interface.
We are targeting three generations, with electrical, bus-timing, and software compatibility testing still required.
OUR APPROACH
A network adapter shouldn't require hand-waving about bus behavior. We are building and verifying the hardware/firmware boundary before making broad claims about compatibility.
CoCoWiFi and PeTerm are complementary projects: an interface to the network, and a terminal to explore what's out there.
